Having detailed to Moses the function of the offerings, G.od tells to Moses to prescribe to cohanim the way these must be brought, when they can be consumed, and by whom.
He forbids the consumption of the blood and certain fats.
Having dedicated Aaron and his sons in the service of the sanctuary, Moses puts on temporarily the role of Cohen Gadol to make them the practical demonstration in the way the worship of which has to take place. This initiation lasts seven days.
