The Pé letter refers the mouth. Originally it comes to lips symbolizing speech and expression. The word fe, the mouth, is the inverse of ef, the nose. Both organs allow air circulation but one have to run in the opposite direction to the other : the nose inspires and the mouth breathes and talks. By operating this way, the mouth becomes the organ of the inner expression without the influence of external forces that pass through the nose.
The original drawing of a mouth was well represented with its two parallel lips, but gradually, graphics bowed and the lower part has disappeared. It is interesting that the two letters corresponding to parts of the face are side by side. The eye of Ayin can memorize and communicate silently while the mouth transmits what the eye has memorized, sometimes secretly. The breath passes by the mouth, speeches and foods, it is the opening for exchange and communication with the surrounding world. This is one of the fundamental doors providing vital exchange.
