The first word of Genesis, Berechit (בראשית), contains the three letters of the word Bet (בית). The three other letters form the word Rosh (ראש), which means head, and symbolizes the source where creative thinking shines. The Zohar states that the letter Bet is open from one side in order to receive this holy light, and closed from the other side because Hashem said: "...you cannot see My face..." (Exodus 33:20).
