G.od asks to Aaron to raise some light in the lamps of the Menorah and Lévi's tribe is introduced in service of the sanctuary. G.od prescribes then to Moses the procedures concerning the journeys and concerning the camps of the people of Israel in the desert, and the people leave then the mount Sinai beside of which he had camped during almost one year.
The people are dissatisfied with some "celestial bread" which he receives and requires to Moses to get him some meat, and Myriam and Aaron themselves question him - in reply, G.od strikes Myriam of the leprosy. Moses prays for its cure and the whole community waits for its return during seven days.
